Day 01

Start in Christchurch

Make sure to take a stop at Castle Hill to walk among large limestone rocks. Later, as you move closer to the West Coast, the landscape slowly changes. Green forests, open skies, and rivers lead you toward Franz Josef.

After arrival, check in and relax. In the evening, enjoy the quiet mountain town atmosphere and rest well for the upcoming days.

Day 03

Glaciers, Lakes, and the Road to Queenstown

Start your morning with peaceful moments in Franz Josef. Spend the remaining time with your partner in leisure, exploring this beautiful town. Hold your partner’s hand and take a short walk to the Franz Josef glacier valley, enjoy amazing glacier views and alpine scenery.

You can also visit the West Coast Wildlife Centre or take a romantic stroll along Lake Matheson and witness mirror-like reflections. You can make your way to relax in warm forest hot tubs to get rid of all your tiredness.

Later in the day, start your onward journey to Queenstown. En route to Queenstown, you’ll pass through many beautiful lakes like Wanaka, Hawea, and Wakatipu, and witness blue waters and mountain views at every turn.

As you reach your destination, check in and make yourself comfortable after a long but rewarding drive. You can spend the evening walking near the lake or enjoying a quiet dinner together. Return to your hotel and be prepared for the coming days in Queenstown.

A Day for Adventures

Get ready for thrills and excitement in the ‘Adventure Capital of the World’. Today is about experiencing all the fun and adventures together. Start your day with a jet boat ride. Feel the adrenaline rush as the boat speeds across the water, spins, and moves through narrow river paths.

Next, take up the skyline gondola to Bob’s peak. As the cabin starts to go upward, you can see the big blue lake, majestic mountains, and the beautiful town below you.

Once you’ve reached the top, enjoy the breathtaking views with your partner and make your way to the three adventurous luge rides. Sit on your luge cart and ride down the track with your partner. Share laughs and enjoy the wholesome moment together.

Day 05

Way to Milford Sound

This morning, wake up early for a full-day tour to Milford Sound, also known as the ‘eighth wonder of the world’. On the way, take a pause at Mirror Lake and see perfect reflections of the mountains. Also, make sure to stop at The Chasm.

Once you’ve reached the Milford Sound, board the cruise for an ultimate experience, sail through the calm waters surrounded by tall cliffs, watch amazing waterfalls, and if you’re lucky, you can also spot seals resting on the rock.

After completing your cruise experience, drive back to Queenstown and rest after a long journey.

Day 06

Quiet Roads and Warm Waters

Today is about slow exploration. Drive around Queenstown and nearby towns. Visit Arrowtown and walk through its old streets. Next, stop by Lake Hayes. There is an easy walkway around the lake where you can walk side by side. The water is calm, the trees are pretty, and the place feels very relaxing, perfect to spend quality time with your partner.

Later, head to the Onsen Hot Pools. Soak in warm water while overlooking the river and mountains. The setting feels peaceful and private, perfect for ending the day on a calm note.

Lakes, Villages and Hidden Corners

Set out for another relaxed day. You will visit beautiful lakes and small towns around Queenstown. Start your day with a drive to Glenorchy, one of New Zealand’s most beautiful towns. Watch the breathtaking views of Lake Wakatipu and snow-packed mountains along the way.

Next, head to Moke Lake for a short walk or picnic. The views here will leave you and your partner amazed. Walk around, breathe the fresh air, and enjoy the silence with your partner.

Return to Queenstown by evening and enjoy your final night in this beautiful alpine town.

Day 08

Through Mount Cook to Lake Tekapo

Once you’ve done with your breakfast, say goodbye to Queenstown and continue your journey to Lake Tekapo. On the way, visit Cromwell and take a walk through the Heritage Precinct and taste fresh fruits from local stalls.

Drive through Lindis Pass and Lake Pukaki. Admire the long stretch of golden hills and the blue waters. When you reach Mount Cook Village, you can rest for a while and witness the breathtaking mountain views before you head to Lake Tekapo.
